What you can update
- Name — the token’s display name
- Description — the text description
- Image — the image URI (link to the new image)
- Attributes / Traits — add, remove, or change any trait
How to update
- Go to NFT Suite → Update NFT
- Search for the NFT by name or token ID
- Make your changes in the editor — all current metadata is pre-filled
- Review the changes carefully
- Click Update — the transaction is submitted on-chain
On-chain metadata updates are permanent and irreversible. Once submitted, the change cannot be undone. Always double-check your edits before confirming.
Compressed NFTs (cNFTs)
Apetopia supports updating both standard NFTs and compressed NFTs (cNFTs), which are a cheaper format used by many modern Solana collections. The process is identical — the tool handles the technical differences automatically.
After updating
Changes may take a few minutes to propagate to marketplaces and wallets. If the old data is still showing, wait a few minutes and refresh.
