Open Trait Studio →
Go directly to this feature in your dashboard.
This is a Pro plan feature.
What you can do
- Create trait categories — each category is a layer (e.g. Background, Body, Eyes, Accessory)
- Upload trait items — PNG or WebP images for each trait option within a category
- Import a ZIP — bulk-upload a full trait set from a folder-structured ZIP file
- Set combination rules — mark trait pairs as excluded (can’t appear together) or required (must appear together)
- Reorder categories — drag to set the stacking order for the editor
- Lock or mark required — lock a category so it always renders, or require it to always have a value selected
- Configure the canvas — set width, height, watermark, and editor color theme
- Share the public editor — your community visits
/traits/your-slugto build combinations
How to set it up
- Go to NFT Suite → Metadata & Assets → Trait Studio
- Click Add Category and name your first layer (e.g. “Background”)
- Expand the category and upload PNG/WebP images — each file becomes one trait option
- Repeat for every layer in your NFT
- Optionally add Combination Rules to prevent incompatible trait pairs
- Share your public editor link with your community
ZIP import
If you already have all your trait images organized in folders, you can import them all at once:- Structure your ZIP with one folder per category:
- The number prefix (
01_,02_) sets the stacking order — lower numbers render first - The folder name becomes the category name; the file name (without extension) becomes the item name
- Drag the ZIP onto the import area or click to select it
- Images are uploaded to storage and items are created automatically
Combination rules
Rules prevent the editor from allowing invalid trait combinations.
Add rules from the Combination Rules section at the bottom of the page.
Category settings
Use Lock for base layers that must always be visible (e.g. a background or base body).
