Alert types
| Type | What it means |
|---|
| Engagement Drop | Daily messages fell to less than 40% of your normal average |
| Activity Spike | Messages surged to 3x your normal average in a single day |
| Member Exodus | Leaves spiked to 3x your daily average (10+ departures) |
| Growth Surge | New joins surged to 3x your daily average (20+ joins) |
| Inactivity | Zero messages for 2 consecutive days in an otherwise active community |
Severity levels
Each alert is rated by severity:
- 🔴 Critical — requires immediate attention
- 🟡 Warning — something to watch and address soon
- 🔵 Info — a notable pattern worth knowing about
Running a check
Checks are triggered manually by you. Click Check now on the Alerts page to run a check at any time. The button is rate-limited to once every 4 hours to prevent duplicate alerts.
Resolving alerts
When you’ve addressed an alert or it’s no longer relevant, click the ✕ button to dismiss it. Dismissed alerts move to the Resolved section at the bottom of the page.
Avoiding duplicate alerts
Silverback won’t re-trigger the same alert type within a 12-hour window, so you won’t get spammed if the same condition persists across multiple checks.
