Campaigns are short-term initiatives with a defined start date, end date, and goal. They’re more flexible than a Referral Program — you can use them to drive invites, boost engagement, promote an event, or any other specific action you want your community to take.

Creating a campaign

  1. Go to Growth → Campaigns
  2. Click New Campaign
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Name — what you’re calling it
    • Type — choose the category that best fits
    • Description — explain the campaign to your team
    • Goal — what success looks like (e.g. “Invite 5 friends”)
    • Reward — select from your rewards catalog or type a custom reward. Check Save to rewards catalog to add a custom reward for future use.
    • Start and end dates — the campaign window
    • Announce in Discord channel (optional) — select a channel and the bot will post an announcement embed automatically when you create the campaign
  4. Click Create

Where campaigns appear

  • Dashboard — all campaigns are listed under Growth → Campaigns with their status
  • Community hub page — active campaigns are shown publicly on your community’s hub page so members can see what’s running
  • Discord — if you selected a channel when creating the campaign, the bot posts an announcement embed with the title, description, goal, reward, and dates

Managing campaigns

The Campaigns page shows all your campaigns with their current status:
  • Active — running right now
  • Upcoming — scheduled but not started yet
  • Paused — manually deactivated; not visible on the hub page
  • Ended — completed campaigns for reference
Use the toggle on each campaign card to pause or reactivate it at any time. Pausing a campaign hides it from the public hub page without deleting it — useful if you need to temporarily stop promoting something. You can delete any campaign from the list.

Campaigns vs. Referral Programs

Think of Campaigns as the broader category and Referral Programs as one specific type. Campaigns can track any kind of community action; Referral Programs are specifically tied to invite counts with a progress bar and goal tracker.
Run campaigns around natural community milestones — hitting 1,000 members, a server anniversary, a product launch. The momentum of a milestone makes campaigns more effective.
