# Silverback Chat

> Ask Silverback anything about your community — in plain language, with real data.

Silverback Chat is your AI analyst for your community. Type a question, get a real answer backed by your actual data — no dashboards, no spreadsheets.

## What you can ask

### Community analytics

Ask anything about your community's performance and Silverback will query your live data to answer.

* *"How is my community doing this week?"*
* *"Who are my top contributors in the last 30 days?"*
* *"What are the peak activity hours?"*
* *"How is member retention looking?"*
* *"Show me membership growth trends"*

Silverback always pulls real data — it never makes up numbers.

### Create things directly

Silverback can create features on your behalf — just describe what you want:

| Feature          | What Silverback does                                       |
| ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Giveaway**     | Creates the giveaway and posts it to Discord               |
| **Poll**         | Creates the poll and posts it to Discord with vote buttons |
| **Auto Message** | Sets up a recurring message on a schedule                  |
| **Whitelist**    | Creates a new whitelist ready to accept members            |

Silverback will ask for the details it needs, show you your Discord channels to choose from, confirm with you, then execute.

## Conversation history

Every conversation is saved automatically. Access past conversations from the **History** button in the top right. Conversations can be continued at any time or deleted.

## Daily limit

Each community has a daily question limit. Silverback will show you how many questions you have left when you're getting close. The count resets every day at midnight UTC.

## Tips

* Be specific — *"Top 5 members in the last 7 days"* gets a better answer than *"show me members"*
* For actions, start casually — *"I want to run a giveaway"* — Silverback will ask for what it needs
* Ask follow-up questions in the same conversation; Silverback remembers the context
