# Server Setup

> Generate a complete Discord server structure in seconds using a pre-built template.

Server Setup lets you build out your Discord server's channel and category structure instantly. Pick a template that matches your community type, customize which channels to include, and the Apetopia bot creates everything in your server with one click.

## Templates

Choose the template that best fits your community:

| Template                 | Best for                                         |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **General** 💬           | Any community — clean and simple                 |
| **Gaming** 🎮            | Gaming clans, esports teams, game communities    |
| **Creator** 🎨           | Artists, streamers, and content creators         |
| **Business** 💼          | Brands, companies, and professional communities  |
| **Club / Hobby** 🎯      | Interest groups, sports clubs, hobby communities |
| **Dev / Open Source** 💻 | Developer communities and open source projects   |
| **NFT / Web3** 🖼️       | NFT projects and Web3 communities                |

## How it works

1. Go to **Community → Server Setup**
2. Select a template
3. Toggle categories and channels on or off to match what you need
4. Click **Create channels in Discord**
5. The bot creates all selected categories and channels in your server immediately

<Warning>
  This adds new categories and channels to your server — it does not replace or delete anything that already exists. If you run setup more than once, channels will be duplicated. Use it once during initial setup.

  Run Server Setup before configuring other features like giveaways or reports — having a clean channel structure makes it easier to point each feature to the right place.
